The husband and I were out the yard yesterday for a quick planning on how the landscaping would probably be and any future improvements that might happen. After brainstorming about various things, I spent a bit of time out there photographing my remaining plants. I remember writing about them sometime ago when I had the weeds cleared, sharing that some have already died, others still surviving.
These for instance are amongst the resilient greens we have along the walls of the yard which is partly-shaded. Some wild orchids that were really small when I had them planted are now multiplying. The jade plant (middle) have grown new branches too. All good!

Other plants on the open spaces along that wall are native blackberries and they are fruiting. These were just experiments before. I never thought they would make but they did. I think they like the moss around them. They are actually a lot out there, along that wall. Mother loves their fruits! And some of her weekly guests often appreciate them while they pass by.

And white lilies, I've forgotten the exact name. This is the first time for these to bloom and glad to be here when they did. We have this in another color (purple) at the other house (next photo).
And the Peruvian Lilies are now forming buds, pretty soon these will bloom in pink.

They are growing beside a small tree where the grapevine is climbing. Sometime in 2021 during a typhoon, there was a huge dump of soil that eroded from the upper portion of the property and these were partially buried. We cleaned them without expecting much that they would survive. But here they are thriving along the walkway to the family parking.
Across them are the same varieties of lilies, growing amongst other succulents. Although they look disorganized, I love it because they are keeping the weeds at bay.
Where the black plastic was a mini-greenhouse, wrecked by the typhoon 2 years ago. On the edge of the yard are 2 young Mandarin Orange trees. I keep trimming them each time we're here because I don't want them to grow tall, lol! I prefer to keep them shorter in height.

Hopefully in the next month or two, this well get cleared out and replaced anew. With mom's condition, I think we will be spending more time here and a greenhouse would be a retreat now and then.
One very young citrus plant on a big pot wilted but I see some tiny growth so will be keeping it to see if it survives. This and many other plants in large pots including the roses have unfortunately died. It can't be helped for no one tended to them for so long a time. Although we come here for visits, we didn't really take time to take care of them.

Along the orange trees are these green crawlers, Baby Sun Rose and I see tiny buds and others have burst open, blooming!

And these too. The cabbage-like plant is among the toughest ones and so as the wild orchids.
Close to the damaged greenhouse is a rack full of plants, mostly succulents. They too are a mess but we'll get to them after the ground maintenance works are done. The husband moved it there from the small porch.

There are hose everywhere. The neighbors down the property took advantage of our absence and had their hose pass over our yard. I'm not really pleased but sometimes we use their water too so we will have to see what to do with them afterwards.
This space used to have poles where upcycled planters were hanging but like the greenhouse, they were destroyed. Out there is obviously in disarray, it's chaotic to say the least. And oh, the aloe vera turned golden brown, lol!
On top of the damaged greenhouse are some plants too, Red Lips they call these ones. They are quite resistant to extreme weather conditions and their colors come out under the summer heat. They stay green when placed indoors or when they are over a shade.
A few meters away are my ever-resistant Cymbidium, most of its bulbs have dried up so he cut them. Only a few stems remained green. This variety (yellow) bloomed once in the last 3 years and I've shared it before, if I remember correctly. Will be replanting this somewhere safe for sure.

Unlike at our lil kingdom where we were able to grow different veggies, we have not done the same thing here. But things may change and we might try when the greenhouse happens.
For a quick look back, these are how my plants were thriving a few years ago when we were yet to move to the lil kingdom. I've shared them a few years ago.

And these were on my update post of the yard during our visit last year and had a bit of clearing:

Looking at these somewhat awakened the gardener in me which have gone rouge for a long while, lol! I'm actually quite excited to start tending to them again and growing new ones. But not just yet, there's a lot of work for the contractor to do before I get to touch them. The husband promised to find me some cypress and probably a palm tree. Hopefully, things would go as planned. Meanwhile, I will have to wait.
My indoor plants have a different story to tell and that I will probably write about some other time.
Well, this has been my gardening update for the month of April albeit very late. It is also meant for the #EdTopic for this week on gardening initiated by mypathtofire
Cheers to a happy hump day everyone!
