     This is the first Hive account@asean.hive post of 2022, so I wish you ASEAN Hivers a Happy New Year. My family's life and I is still a bit chaotic, and even though this post is a bit late this week, I still wanted to share with you all some awesome posts.

     Hive account@mers, our Filipina in the EU, shared a lively but small Spanish patio, and Hive account@gooddream shared with us a humorous and food-filled take on Christmas in Vietnam. Hive account@winelay made a very tasty watermelon jelly, and last but not least Hive account@titisnariyah modeled some traditional clothes from an ethnic tribe in Indonesia.

^{(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ)} When I attended the fiesta in our village about a week ago, I passed-by this patio full of beautiful flowers. I was curious why so plenty of visitors were there to take pictures. I always passed-by this area but I never went up because I thought it was a private front yard of the people living in the two apartment blocks.

Christmas in my world: Fancy food and getting drunk

^{(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ)} So basically Christmas was like potentially every other day in my life except I decided to splash out a bit and order food with reckless abandon at a rather fancy seafront restaurant. Normally, these places would be considered tourist traps but since there are no tourists and haven't been for a long time the few places that remain open have dropped their prices to sane levels and stepped it up on the quality side of things.

^{(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ)} How are you guys? I hope everything goes well. Today I came back with a delicious jelly cake recipe. On Christmas day, a friend of mine brought me a watermelon. In winter, watermelons are plentiful in my small town. This watermelon is very big and very heavy. I use a lot of my energy when I do hold the watermelon. I usually eat watermelon as a fruit or juice. Today I tried watermelon jelly cake using this watermelon.
