Tradition of the presentation of food to priests by lots (salakphat) at wat uthokwaree, fang district, chiang mai province, Thailand.
by:(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) ✍️ Hello everyone. Today I will tell about another tradition in northern Thailand, namely the tradition of the presentation of food to priests by lots (salakphat). In Thai, it is written and read as "ฉลากภัต". If the local dialect of northern Thailand is written and read as "ทานก๋วยสลาก".

My mom makes mooncakes
by:(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) A few days ago, it was the mooncake festival and my mom was busy making them. Not for sale but for self consumption as well as to give to friends and relatives. Mooncake consist usually of two things; the skin and the filling. The skin is the toughest to make because you've got to balance out the ingredients. There are many stores here in Miri where you can go and buy these paste. There are different type of paste from pandan, lotus to even durian. My favourite definitely is chocolate paste.
