My niece has been staying with us for few days because it is school holiday. She wanted to spent time with both of my daughters. They are so close, you can say that they are BFF.
She will be going back to her home at noon today. So I thought I want to treat her for dessert before she's going back home. I asked both of my daughters and my niece to get ready, and we will go out at 8pm.
They did asked me, where are we going, why are we going out. But I just told them not to ask to many questions, and just follow. I wanted to make this trip as a surprise trip.
We got out exactly at 8pm. The place that I was heading to is MyKori Dessert Café. This MyKori Café branch in particular started its operation on 2020, just few months before pandemic hits Malaysia.
During pandemic, it still operating but only for take away, and this continue until March 2021. Even so, I can see the café able to survive the pandemic and hopefully upcoming years.
We went there by car, and after 3 minutes of driving, upon arriving at MyKori Café, both of my daughters and my niece was jumping in joy, and can't wait to enter the café.
Mykōri Dessert Café is the epitome of the 21st century Japanese dessert house, and include the Signature Toast and shaved ice desserts (Kakigori) that incorporate fresh fruits, ice cream as well as layers of flavour: https://mykori.my/mykori-all-menus/

This shop lot previous tenant was a massage parlour (No, I haven't been there 🤣🤣). Which later then replaced with MyKori Dessert Café. My daughters loved the logo of MyKori which is a unicorn.
I have brought them to MyKori for several times. They prefer to eat MyKori compared to other healthier dessert 😅.
During our visit there, we were the only customer. No other customer was seen. I'm not sure whether this is normal, or just that night only. Since there is a lot of empty table, I asked my youngest daughter and my niece to choose a table for us that is near to the counter.
While I, and my eldest daughter went to the counter and choose our choice of dessert to order.
As usual, my eldest daughter wanted to choose an oreo based dessert. Since we will be sharing the dessert among five of us, I suggested to choose a fruit based dessert. suggest to get a Honeydew Kakigori.
My eldest daughter wanted to add a small Passion Fruit Kakigori. For drinks, there is a plain water dispenser that is free to customers. I encourage my daughter and my niece to drink plain water, except for who want a hot latte.
While waiting for our dessert to be prepared, I took several pictures of the café environment and setup. I can see how impatiently my daughters and my niece were waiting for the dessert to be prepared.

After waiting for few minutes, our dessert is ready to collect at the pick-up counter. Since we are the only customer there, the staff didn't gave us a queue number. She straight away call for me when the dessert is ready.
The dessert was put on top of a wodden tray. I carefully carries the wooden tray to our table. Luckily the table is just next to the pick-up counter. I was worried I might toppled and ruined the dessert.
To my surprise, the Honeydew Kakigori was not that sweet. The sweetness is bearable. I myself able to enjoy the Honeydew Kakigori.
Kakigōri is a Japanese shaved ice dessert flavored with syrup and a sweetener, often condensed milk: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kakig%C5%8Dri
As predicted when eating a dessert like this with kids, quarter of the dessert were spilled. However, that didn't spoil our mood, and we eat the remaining dessert together. Before I forgot, the total price for the dessert and hot latte was 10.5USD
That's all from me. Thanks for reading 😁
