Hello my loving Asean Hive community,
Welcome to my new post. How's everything? I hope all goes well. Today is Friday, so are you spending the evening with your family? These days there is a traditional festival in our dormitory, so I am busier than ever. I have already decided that I will try to post every day in the asean hive community every day. However, these days I do not post every day because I am busy on some days. In the coming days, I will try to post every day.
About two days ago I told you how to make a Burmese style fruit salad. Today, the lunch menu in my teacher's dormitory is a traditional dish. Today I will tell you how to make that traditional dish. Today, the special menu for lunch in my teacher's dormitory is a traditional grill fish dish. Let me first talk about the ingredients.
Ingredients-
- fish
- ginger, garlic
- coriander leaves
- culantro leaves
- lemon grass
- chicken flavour
- fish sauce
Step-1
I was not responsible for cooking this traditional grill fish dish from start to finish. I did not have to photograph some of the parts because I did little to help the dormitory chef. But since I know how to cook this dish, I will tell you all the steps.
Not all of these fish were bought by my teacher from our hometown. She ordered all the fish from Yangon. The fish in Yangon is very fresh and cheap. So she ordered the fish from that town.
The chef cuts the fish into small pieces first. She then mixed the fish with ginger, garlic, chicken flavor and fish sauce and left it for 20 minutes.
Step-2
The second step is the part I did. The fish has a slight unpleasant odor, so you should use a lot of spices when cooking it. I blended all the coriander leaves, cilantro leaves, lemongrass, garlic and ginger. If you like spicy, you can use as much chili as you need in this step. I did not use chili because these kids also liked these dishes.
Step-3
The locals usually use the leaves to package this dish. However, we had to use aluminum foil paper because there was no vendor selling the leaves used in that packaging at the market today. The aroma of the leaves, which is packaged using leaves, is even more fragrant.
Step-4
I was thinking of having four fish in one pack. So I put four pieces of fish on that aluminum foil paper. I also put some blended leaves on the fish to make it fragrant.
I also added some liquid from the fish bowl on the leaves. Then I wrapped the aluminum foil paper into a square as shown in the picture. I packed it twice to keep the juices from leaking out.
I made a total of 70 packages that way.
I and my sister in the dormitory were responsible for doing this part. We grilled all the packages of the fish on the stove. The most important thing in grilling these packages is not to overheat. It is enough to grill these packages on the fire for 10 minutes. Then you can remove all of them from the heat.
Now I got a delicious traditional grill fish dish. Do you think this dish is very easy to make? This dish is really easy to make and tastes great. If you like fish, I suggest you try this dish. That's all for today. Thank you so much for reading my post to the end. 🍇
