Claypot Pig Stomach and Chicken cubes. Super refreshing.
Must-have lala soup. I drank lots of the Shaoxing wine soup. Slurp!
Egg Foo Yong with diced roasted pork and Chinese sausage, carrot, onion mushrooms and small shrimp.

My yummy plate of Cantonese Mee Sua.
Our drinks as usual. Iced tea for husband and hot milk tea for me.
Spacious and well-ventilated, except noisy. If you love to talk loudly, now is the time.😂
We had been frequenting our neighbourhood cafeteria called "New Li Garden Food Court" in consecutive 4 days because we heard that it is going to be demolished for new development purpose. However, when we went just now for dinner (our 4th night), one of the stall's owner mentioned to us maybe the plan will change — perhaps the Food Court can stay on. That's a good news and we hope it is that way. Anyway, I am here to blog about the food we ate in 4 days.
New Li Garden Food Court
This has got to be our favourite food court because of variety of stalls to choose from as well as it is nearby us.
Location: Jalan 3/23a, 53300 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur
Aside from being slightly noisy due to ventilation fans and so many fans installed, this place is good for everyday dining if you do not cook at home. It was busy week for us so I did not cook at all recently. Husband brought us here in total 3 times in a week because we wanted to seize every moment of eating here before it would shift (before I heard about the plan of maybe staying on).
Day 1 Dinner
Husband ordered some dishes from a stall called 'Rawang Steamed Fish' for us all. He ordered a Rawang steamed fish, lettuce and steamed egg. A very healthy dinner and we ate these with rice.
The Rawang Steamed Fish was so delicious although it was a bit too gingery for my youngest son, we loved it. True, it was generously topped with lots of blended ginger, it tasted so well combined with their specialty Rawang sauce, their premium steamed fish sauce.
The blanched lettuce was fairly simple to make but it was so appetizing. I saw them blanched the lettuce in wok, scooped them out, put onto plate, a ladle of sauce and topped with fried onions. That's it! But so tasty. Must be the secret sauce, not the usual oyster sauce or some other seasonings. I tried at home before this way, but not so delicious.
The steamed egg was so smooth, good taste and had a little amount of minced pork in it too. I felt like eating soft tofu actually. It looked plain and not appealing but it was actually very flavourful. Some special seasoning again.
We had a blast dinner.
Day 2 Dinner
We ordered from this stall called 'Chicken Hot Pot'. We looked at the simple menu and almost ordered all types. Hahaha. But we knew we couldn't finish. So husband and I ordered a claypot pork and a claypot pig stomach & chicken. We ate these with rice too. Two dishes were so, so delicious. Maybe for some, it would be too salty but personally I thought it was needed. The claypot pork had so many slides of pork belly, soft and nicely cooked in a soy sauce-based broth and slight mala flavour. The claypot pig stomach one was towards the more clearer type of soup and a tad peppery. The pork stomach was so soft and the chicken cubes were tender. Every bite was satisfying.
There is a new stall selling cheese naan and immediately the boys wanted that than the claypot. Therefore, we let them enjoyed the cheese naan while husband and I enjoyed our claypot hotpot. Yumsss!!!
Day 3 Dinner
I was craving for the lala soup from the LalaKing restaurant again, which I just blogged about recently. So, husband brought me there again while the boys stayed at home because they had their food at home. We ordered lala soup which cooked in ginger garlic Shao Xing wine soup. Super spicy and flavourful, in my slang — got alot of kick ahhh!!! And we ordered a Egg Foo Yong which was basically omelette cooked in more oil and inside had carrots, shrimps, mushrooms and diced roasted pork and diced Chinese sausage. We did not order any rice because we just wanted some lala and egg.
Day 4 Dinner
Just now, after busy whole day, we supposed to go out for dinner, but the boys wanted to stay home. Therefore, husband and I went out again to eat, but I was the one eating, husband drank his iced tea. I ordered for myself a plate of Cantonese Mee Sua, a very delicious savoury egg-broth with deep fried mee sua. It had fish cakes, crab meat, vegetables and prawns too. The fried mee sua noodles would become soften when soaked into the broth, resulting in super delicious mouthful of noodles. Yums! Oh yes, I gave my husband the two prawns. And I also enjoyed my hot evaporated milk tea, which was the drink I always ordered whenever I was here.
Final thoughts
My countenance litted up just now when one of them told us to not worry — that they may be able to stay and may not be shifted away, depending on what will be agreed upon between the owner and the developer. Let's see what will happen. Please stay!!! Because it is so convenient for me to get food after picking my son from school.
