In my rather long existence in this life, I could see, without mistake, the importance of friends. I can say that friends were the most important for our family. Friends who gave us the most help when our house burned down completely. They supported and helped us both in the short term, immediately, and in the long term, participating in the reconstruction. This is just one example, maybe more spectacular, but there have been many others. Of course, the friendship must be mutual and we were close to all our friends when needed.
Certainly, our life was much more beautiful thanks to friends.
The moments when we can be with friends are the most pleasant. An invitation to a barbecue, to the country house of some very good friends, is always a very pleasant leisure time.
For those who live in the city, a trip to the country, even if it is very close to the city, is something special. The simple fact of not seeing blocks of flats, piles of buildings, crowded streets, and many, many cars. To see more green, many flowers, large spaces ... this is enough to wash away our stress!
Being Friday, I thought that the story of this grill fits #marketfriday, with everything related to the market, food, cooking, even if the cooking is not done by me now.
So, this is the short story of a country barbecue.
The grill was waiting for us full of pieces of meat. A big pile. It didn't look like a stylish grill, but if we were to eat in the country, we could eat a more rustic food, less chiseled.
In addition to meat, our friends also prepared a salad. Very tasty. I asked for the recipe and here's how to prepare it.
Grilled mushrooms, green onions, pepper and dill, grilled cheese, olive oil, and a little soy sauce. Salt and pepper
Cut everything into pieces and mix. Nothing simpler and very tasty. A hot salad!
This salad can also be prepared in the kitchen, on an electric grill, or even in a pan. Diced mushrooms and grilled cheese as well, mixed with onion, dill, salt, olive oil, pepper, salt and pepper, and soy sauce (optional).
Returning to my story, I ate the salad later. First of all, we are waiting with great interest for the meat on the grill. Beef, juicy, and a lot.
Well, the surprise came immediately. The grill wasn't for us ... I mean this part of the grill. Because the beneficiaries appeared quickly. They belonged to the house.
It wasn't really a surprise. It was simply the habit of the house. When a barbecue is made there, the first to receive food is the house dogs. This is what always happens and we, who have been friends for decades, know the procedure. Until it's our turn to eat, we taste something from the dogs' meat ... and some baked cheese for salad.
After the dogs were fed, it was our turn.
