Greetings Hive!
Missed me? 😊
These past couple of days have been super engaging. I’ve been swamped with cake orders.
For all my foodies, this is a quick reminder on kitchen hygiene, especially during this pandemic.
People take enough risks to place orders for food and other essential goods/services. It is your duty as a vendor, to make your clients feel safe, by going extra miles in protecting yourself and their orders.
Personally, while baking, my workstation is squeaky clean; floor’s swept, counter, sanitized and wiped, bowls are washed and dried, same with everything else.
For pastries like bread, that involve direct contact with the fingers, I use plastic transparent gloves. These are actually very cheap.
My whole body including my apron is sanitized even before I begin anything.
I make sure to use a face mask, especially because I sing along with my music.
On hot days, when I might break a few sweats, face shields are my GO-TO.
I prefer to deliver my orders myself because I actually don’t trust any dispatch rider at this time. I have all my “safeties” in my bag; from mask to sanitizing spray to gloves.
Before I arrive at the provided destination, I insist that my clients waits for me out front, with their face masks or shields. I sanitize their hands from a few meters point, sanitize the food bag and carefully hand it over.
They are always impressed.
This also makes my clients feel extra safe and loved. Customer satisfaction is always top notch to me.
