Today I will show you the steps taken to prepare beans and plantain porridge, but first, let's discuss the some importance of beans and plantain in the human body.
Some Importance of Beans

- It reduces the risk of coronary cancer
- It is a good source of protein
Beans is a meal that can be combined with different foods such as rice, plantain and can also be taken with pap.
Some Importance of Plantain
- It is a good source of iron
- They are high in resistance starch which helps to control blood sugar
- It is a good source of potassium which helps reduced hypertension
Now that you have known some benefits of beans and plantain, let's see how to prepare it.
Firstly, after picking the beans, cook for 5 minutes, sieve out and rinse before putting it back on heat. This will prevent heart burn because of some persons who do experience it.
While the beans is cooking, let's put together the ingredients needed for it.
- Palm oil
- Onion
- Magi
- Salt
- Pepper
- Crayfish

Sliced Plantain
All ingredients ready to dive in, but first check if the beans is well cooked before adding the palm oil.
Allow to cook for 3minutes, then put in your pepper, crayfish, magi and salt. When all ingredients are in, allow to cook for 5 minutes before adding your plantain.
Make sure your plantain is spread evenly on the beans, allow to boil for another 5minutes before taking of the heat. When the heat is off, don't stir immediately, leave it to cool for 30seconds before stirring.
