Hello everyone, you are welcome to my second weekly report as a team leader of the newbies initiative program which started September and will end by December. I'm fortunate to be the leader of the team 3 and so far it has been easy because my team members has made it so. For today, I will be giving a report on my team's progress so far for the second task and some observations.

The second task was based on knowing more about Hive, how to apply markdowns and styles to your blogs and also how to use tags and you can find out more about the task π NEWBIES INITIATIVE TASK 2 - HIVE GUIDELINES, MARKDOWNS AND USE OF TAGS. Reading through the task done by my team members I was happy because I saw that most of them had understood the task very well.

My team members are 8 in numbers, 7 did their task before the deadline but one did his task after the deadline because of some situations but overall, they all did really well and I will urge you guys, to keep up the good work and keep learning by asking more questions and doing personal research. So far, my team members have been doing a really good job trying to be active on a daily basis, although not all of them but most of them and I think that is something good. Meanwhile going through their individual post on the task again, I discovered that one of my team members had plagiarized a sentence of his post and though he was writing about the dangers of plagiarizing but yet he did that. I'm not sure why he did such a thing but I would love to advise him and everyone to be very careful when making research on a particular topic not to unconsciously take a sentence as yours, that is plagiarism.
He made a mistake but I will take the fall because I did not do a good job as a team leader to thoroughly check for plagiarism and warn him against it but I do promise to advise him not to make such mistakes next time. Please pardon me for not being specific of the person that made this mistake, I haven't told him about it yet because I just found out why compiling this post but I will make sure to warn him against making sure mistakes next time.
Another observation I want to point out, I noticed some of my team members don't proof read their blogs before hitting the publish button and I notice they make some really silly errors just like many others do, so I will want urge us to always do well to read our posts over and over before publishing so we can spot any mistakes that might be made unknowingly to us.

For the last task like I said most of my team members did a really good job in explaining about the task and I won't say one did better than the other because all of them brought something unique to their writing so for me to select the best out of all of them, I focused more on how engaging they were and I saw that

My team made an improvement from last week till now and I'm so impressed at how determined they want to learn and be better after every given task. I just want to say KEEP IT UP GUYS, I LOVE YOUR ENERGY AND SYNERGY, IT'S AMAZING And guys, don't forget to always look out for each other as you always do, it's very important and it will make the journey worthwhile.

That's all for the task 2 report, do well to draw my attention to any mistakes or omission you observe and I will do well to make necessary changes if need be. I wouldn't have done this without the continuous help from my fellow team leaders and also some amazing folks here, I appreciate all your help and advice given.
