Hello everyone, my name is Irfan. This is my first post on Hive, hopefully, it will be a good simple post to read. I am a teacher at one of the public schools in Lhokseumawe City, a city in Aceh province, Indonesia.
As in the school, in general, there must be a canteen in it, so in the school where I teach. This time I was curious about one of the common snacks in every elementary school in Indonesia, and I was curious if this snack also exists in other countries. If anything does it have the same shape and name as in our country?
The name of this snack is ice lolly or can also be called Popsicle. This snack is a snack in the form of refreshing food made from water which is placed in the refrigerator until it hardens. After the water is packed in a small long-shaped plastic wrap is frozen, this snack food can already be sold and consumed. Each small size ice candle is sold at a low price, each ice candle is sold for Rp. 1,000 or 0.12 Hive worth
In general, ice candles are made using ingredients in the form of water mixed with candied fruit juice, so this cold food has several flavors of choice. The ingredients mixed with this sweet candy will taste delicious because it has a cold temperature, so it is very refreshing. Flavors that generally exist are fruit flavors such as mango, strawberry, durian fruit, or even chocolate flavor, which are the flavors that are preferred.
Because the price is cheap, the selection of a variety of flavors and low prices makes this snack sold every day. Moreover, if the summer where the weather is a bit sultry, it is because we in Indonesia experience two seasons, the rainy season and summer.
So it's nice to be able to share something simple here, and I'm still curious. Is this snack called ice lolly or popsicle, there are also in other countries?
