Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 203 Edition 01 of our Weekly Featured Content.
Made With Canva
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week, which is “SUGAR BAN”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “WHISTLE BLOWING”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, sharing their thoughts with us on whistleblowing and the perks of the act. The measures in place to protect whistleblowers, and also using it to ensure that people will be able to comfortably report crimes that they witness, regardless of the risks involved.
We got to see that indeed a lot of risks come with such acts, and the authorities have a lot of work to do to make it beneficial. Besides protecting the whistleblowers, they also have to ensure that all information gotten through such means is verified so they don’t end up being used by unscrupulous individuals for personal gain. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w202e3; tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.
Featured Contents
MORE THAN INFORMANTS, OVERSEERS by
This author told us that keeping quiet about a crime that she knew was committed was something her conscience couldn't allow her to do. Allowing people to get away with doing terrible things by turning a blind eye only means one is complicit in them. It only gets worse from there.
WHISTLE BLOWING IS NOT FOR EVERYONE by
*For this author, he told us that due to the risks involved, he can never dare to be a whistleblower because he can never be certain that his identity wouldn't be revealed. Whistle-blowing isn’t for everyone, and if anybody feels it’s not worth the risk, then they’re entitled to that.”
TO SPEAK OR NOT TO SPEAK: THE ETHICS OF WHISTLEBLOWING by
For this author, she tells us that whistle blowing different for everyone because while some might easily do it, others can’t. More people are scared of repercussions than they are of anything else, which is why many prefer to keep quiet and pretend they didn’t notice anything because they feel it’s safer that way.
All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (

But then, we have some honorable mentions listed below:

AND NOW, WE MOVE ON TO THE NEW TOPIC!
Week 203 - Edition 01 Topic
SUGAR BAN
“Should sugar be regulated the same way alcohol is regulated? When you consider the long-term impact sugar has on health and how it's basically in every meal and drink, should it be regulated? So that every time people take it, they know exactly what they stand to gain and suffer as a result. What do you think?”
