Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This is going to be Week 55, Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last week Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to come to an end. We are currently on our third topic for this week which is, “THE OLDEST PERSON YOU KNOW”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “EXPERIENCE VS TEXTBOOKS”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts on whether they preferred to learn about things from textbooks or it was better to learn from experience.
We got to see varying opinions on the subject. Many were of the opinion that learning from textbooks was better and others preferred experience. Because the lessons you learn from experience are more permanent. It was an interesting topic indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w55e2 tags. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us about how he learned a big lesson about judging people without knowing much about them. He thought he had encountered a scammer, and treated him as such, spreading information about this fact. But it turned out this person was warning others about an actual scammer. A great moment of learning for him.
EXPERIENCE WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST by
This author also shared with us how he managed to learn a course that proved difficult at first, but in the end, experience came through and he saw the value of persevering. He also told us of the time he got electrocuted. Well, that is one experience he wouldnt want a repeat of.
EXPERIENCE; GREATEST TEACHER OF ALL TIME by
*For this author, he told us about how he was forced to learn the value of documentation. It was something that if he didn't take to heart, people would use again. He got burned one time and learned his lesson, this prepared him for the next time someone tried to do a fast one on him. And he didn’t allow a repeat of the experience.
