WELCOME TO MY BLOG
Hellooooo, hellooooo! A pleasure to greet you. Today I am here thanks to the invitation from to join this community and share with you all these creative ideas that rain down daily but that we can only make public on Sundays. I present myself to you with all the desire and excitement of having a community where creative work is appreciated from all areas, not only cooking, but all activities where creativity is the main guest.
My entry for this week will be some special fried sweet doughs for a Sunday afternoon snack in the company of our family or simply when we sit in front of the television to enjoy a good movie or favorite series.
This sweet dough is also known worldwide as beignets and we can eat it alone, sprinkled with icing sugar or filled with arequipe. I hope you like it. Without further ado, let's get started.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup of wheat flour
- 1/4 cup warm liquid milk
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 5 grams of yeast
- 1 tbsp. of sugar
- 1/2 tbsp. of baking powder
- 1/4 tbsp. of salt
- 1/4 tbsp. vanilla
- 2 cups of vegetable oil
- Arequipe
- Sugar glass
STEP BY STEP
STEP #1
In a cup we add the warm milk, lemon juice, yeast and sugar and mix. Let rest for 10 minutes.
STEP #2
Then in a medium bowl we add the cup of wheat flour, baking powder and salt. We mix.
STEP #3
After 10 minutes, we added the milk that we put to rise with the wheat flour. Then add the vanilla and knead until integrated.
STEP #4
We take to the counter and knead for 5 minutes and when we obtain a smooth and homogeneous dough we take it back to the bowl, cover with plastic wrap and then with a dry cloth and let it rest for 1 hour or until light.
STEP #5
After the rest time, we remove from the bowl and take it back to the counter. Sprinkle the counter and the dough a little with wheat flour and with a rolling pin we begin to stretch until we form a rectangle with a thickness of approximately 0.5 cm.
STEP #6
We make cuts in vertical and horizontal lines to form small rectangles or squares.
STEP #7
In a saucepan add the 2 cups of oil and let it heat up well. Then we add the squares of dough and fry on both sides until golden brown. Remove from the oil and drain on absorbent paper.
Once rested, we serve on a plate and sprinkle with icing sugar or fill with the arequipe.
A true divinity to spend our Sunday relaxed at home and with the family. Many thanks to for inviting me to this community. Waiting for everyone's receptivity and promptly carrying out my verification. I hope you enjoy this delicious recipe. See you next time.
