Happy friday, dreamers & hivers! Are you ready for the weekend?
Speaking of weekend, I have discovered a great weekend getaway that is truly relaxing with superb quality of service and amenities, the Solina Beach and Nature Resort.
I discovered it while looking for accommodation for the Islas de Gigantes tour with the goal of being able to relax and insert my online hustle on the side.
Solina Beach and Nature Resort (or simply Solina) stands on a 7.8 hectare property1. It is located in Carles, Iloilo, which is also home to the Gigantes Islands. I has plenty of amenities such as, pools, gym, function hall, recreation area, bar, a restaurant, and souvenir shop, among others.
I was very sick when we arrived at Solina so I was not able to pay attention to the place as we got there. My primary goal that afternoon was to lay in bed and eat soup. I took a nap and when I felt better, we made a quick walk to the pool.
The pool was so gorgeous at night. It almost felt magical with the lights and the plants that adorned it.
---
The pool is located beside the restaurant which I believe is pretty smart because what else is enjoyable to do while swimming? Eat.
I must say the place is admirable too. The furnitures used looked so elegant.
---
Since I still feel weak, I decided to rest early that night. The following morning was the day of our Island Hopping in Gigantes Islands. We left early after breakfast and it is already dark when we went back. As usual, we admired the pool view at night again.
On our last day, we had plenty of time to walk around the property. It looks equally peaceful during the day.
This walkway leads to the restaurant. It is also the view from our balcony. Even if you just walk in the vicinity, you won't feel bored.
---
By the way, the accommodations come with a free breakfast. These were ours for the first two days.
We have the view of the pool while eating, as well as, the glimpse and sound of the waves
---
We followed the calling of the waves! Off we went to the beach.
Everything is just so relaxing here. The sun is showing off so we have to find a shade.
In front of the beach is the bar, which was closed the whole time we were there.
I believe there are not a lot of guests. We barely see people except when we were at the restaurant, which, for me, is just ideal because I came here to relax.
Speaking of relaxation, are eyes feasted on the lush scenery surrounding the rooms.
There are different rooms to choose from depending on one's preference. Our room is a pod, which is like a budget-friendly room. We paid like a little over than 100usd for 2 nights.
There are also rooms that are perfect for a family or group of friends.
They also have rooms for honeymooners. Other factors to consider is the view, ocean view, garden view, pool view.
We went from pool, to the beach, to walking in the park (because that's how it felt while strolling), and now we go the forest.
The part of the property past the landscaped plants and grass is the more rugged area of Solina. It is also the coolest part in terms of temperature with the tall trees creating a natural shade from the sun. Aside from the cemented road that you can see, everything else here is nature. In my opinion, this rugged space gave Solina a different character, emphasized more with the tent accommodations.
Just how cool these are? Would you sleep in these tents? (Don't worry they have aircon. LOL
Now I know why Solina Resort is always on the top of highly recommended stays in Carles. Aside from it gorgeous and unique aesthetic, they service is plausible, too. The rooms are clean, I have never slept so soundly until I stayed at Solina.
If you are planning to join the Gigantes Islands tour, make sure the check Solina Beach and Nature Resort, too.
Hey, you're still here and for that, let me give you a virtual hug! Thank you for reading my blog. See you on the next!
