Very popular game with the kids! They seemed to be having so much fun!
A lot of people really came to the Autumn Market and it was crowded with many people.
They also sold very tasty sausages and cheeses. They smelled really good, and I knew that they were home made by the smell!! Amazing!
Runestone monument at Skansen. I'd like to write about this runestone later.

Autumn Market at Skansen
I happened to attend the Autumn Market in Skansen. Please also check out our previous blog.
I happened to be visiting Skansen when the Autumn Market was being held, and we decided to go and check it out. We had a delicious muffin there, and there were many other events besides the small market.
In Japan, autumn festivals are held, and it seems that similar festivals are also held in Sweden, so I was very interested to see what they are like.
One of the most interesting games we saw was a game in which children threw a ball at a plate on a shelf and if the ball broke the plate, they would receive a product. It reminded me of the summer festival I went to when I was a child.
This is a similar game I played in a summer festival when I was a child in Osaka, Japan. (Isn't is kinda similar to the one in Stockholm?!)
Another interesting event was the opportunity to dress up in old Swedish clothing and have your picture taken with a beautiful painting in the background. The Swedish farmer's clothes that might be seen in Astrid Lindgren's works. It was very cute and many tourists (including me, of course! LOL!), especially from overseas, were taking pictures.

The market was full of sausages, cheeses, and other products made in the old fashioned way.
Skansen is a favorite place of rest and relaxation for Stockholm citizens. It was truly wonderful to find a place where one can experience such an old-fashioned lifestyle just a 15-minute tram ride away from Stockholm City. I wish such a place existed in Japan.
