Udupi has a new astounding dining setting called Viraasat - the Heritage which just launched. Viraasat is the perfect spot to have a family dinner, go on a dinner date or just have a relaxing Saturday dinner. I had recently been invited to this fine dine at Manipal Inn located on the National Highway 66 in Udupi, Karnataka.
Viraasat has beautiful interiors and is well lit. The food served is satisfactory too. The desserts were a treat to the buds.
Here's everything I tried at the restaurant in the order of the pictures:
*Rooh Afza - Rose flavored milkshake
*Yakhni Badami Shorba - Mutton Soup
*Caesar Salad
*Tandoori Paneer Chat - Cottage cheese savory dish
*Crispy Threaded Chicken
*Poked Mushroom
*Gosht Seekh Kebab - Mutton
*Meen Polichattu - Pan fried fish
*Malai Broccoli - Broccoli in clotted cream
*Prawns Ghee Roast - Shrimps in the special Tulunadu style of ghee roast
*Gosht Biriyani - Mutton
*Non Veg Thali - Included Rogan Gosht (Mutton), Kundapuri Chicken, Kane (Ladyfish) Fish Curry, Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Kurchan, Butter Chicken and Indian Bread)
*Kudla Seafood Biriyani - Biriyani rice with mixed seafood
*Alfredo Pasta - from the live Pasta Counter
*Elaneeru Payasam - Tender coconut pudding
*Caramel Custard
They provide very polished and efficient service. The beauty of the interior of Viraasat is remarkably beautiful and pleasing.
