🥇 San Gimignano – A Tuscan Paradise Where My Heart Hides by
Hello my friends. 🤗 I've been going through a tough time over the past few months and sometimes you just long for a place where your heart can feel at peace. For me, that place is without a doubt in Tuscany, in a town called San Gimignano. Located about 50 kilometers from Siena, San Gimignano is famous for its medieval towers and feels like an open-air museum. Seen from above it shines like a jewel among golden fields and lush green vineyards. The last time I visited, it was olive pruning season. So it was common to see trimmed branches being dried and burned. Soon open fires will be banned in Tuscany, which is a standard rule in summer, as everything becomes highly flammable. This place is stunning and full of unusual landscapes, all year round.

🥈 A Sunday Temple Run with the Fam by
That said, I don’t really mind the occasional temple visit. There’s a certain peacefulness about them, especially when the place is old and quiet, untouched by the chaos of modern tourism. It’s also a way for me to stay connected to my roots, to acknowledge the culture and traditions I was raised in, even if I don’t practice everything religiously. And let’s be real, it’s also one of the few occasions where everyone in the family is available and in one car. That itself makes it memorable, spiritual destination or not. Especially with my dad being away for work most of time.

🥉 Kayaking in Geographic Harbor, Katmai National Park, Alaska by
The first time I explored Geographic Harbor, in Katmai National Park, it was rainy and foggy. We took our small boats around, looking for wildlife, but mostly just got pelted with rain. I knew from my research that this spot was supposed to be a real gem, with natural beauty all around, but I couldn't see it. This time, Geographic Harbor really showed off its stuff.
