Over the years, I have come to understand that language speaks about culture. Just as we are humans that can learn each day, we have the opportunity to learn any language of our choice with no restriction what so ever.

While I was little, right from nursery school, I was taught how to read and right A,B,C,D. At this time, not minding the fact that English is my second language, I can speak and write well in English. At some point, it wasn't easy but in time, I got the grip on it.

By virtue of where I was born and brought up, I easily learnt how to speak Pidgin English. It wasn't taught to me as English was taught in schools, because most people around our environment speak and easily understand it better than English. As long as I could speak it, I could also write it.

There are over 525 language in Nigeria, in Delta State, which is among the southern part of Nigeria, there are five main language in that state which is Igbo (Anioma people), Urhobo, Isoko, Ijaw and Itsekiri. Being born and brought up in Delta, I was only able to understand the greetings of Urhobo and a little bit of it.

Not minding the fact that I stayed in Delta since I was born, with more than two trips to my home town in Anambra state, I am opportune to understand and speak my mother tongue which is Igbo Language. My time in my church choir helped me learn how to read Igbo, it wouldn't be nice if I didn't know my mother tongue with the fact that I'm presently in my country.

So officially, I speak English, Pidgin, Igbo. I didn't talk on programming language because I am not sound in it, it's like I speak the basics and a little bit of it. In time if my passion pushes me towards that direction, I would be better in it.
