hello, community greetings, and happy weekend. This weekend's announcement about writing topics by is interesting. After I read that post I would like to participate in one of them.
All questions are very interesting if possible I should have chosen all three.
I chose this first:
Many people enjoy cooking over the weekend as there's more time for it. Do you cook/prepare food more on the weekends due to more time or do you choose more take-out/pre-prepared food?
Since childhood unexpected responsibilities have given me a lot of cooking experience, and I became more and more interested in cooking.
Many times we had arranged weekend parties at school, social organizations, and our housing society and I was the one responsible for the cooking section. that was when i was a teenager. At that time there wasn't any prepared food system or catering service where I grew up.
Making food on the weekend was one of the activities I enjoyed in my early years.
when I moved to Europe the beginning was very tough for me to make food because of the unfamiliar ingredients. But after a few years, I managed it and started inviting friends for dinner at weekends to give them a little taste of Indian culinary food.
And soon the friends asked me to teach them Indian cooking.
And then my weekend cooking activities started.
Normally making food is no big deal as I make it most days. we need food and to prepare it every day I think is most important. because healthy, nutritious, reasonable, and fresh food reflects our overall health, making food is a regular activity
.
Sometimes i hold weekend cooking classes. sometimes i Help friends to arrange parties, or invite friends to our home for dinner,
I make non-veg, veg, or vegan, in my weekend cooking as well as everyday cooking. Mostly I have weekends free from my work and have more time to do some extra preparation.
Making jams, pickles, preparing spices, ghee etc are all included in my weekend cooking activities. and that extra time I utilize to make my preparations for my everyday cooking easier.
Weekend cooking classes give me satisfaction in sharing my knowledge.
Inviting seniors for dinner at weekends feels good.
Making some nice food for a joyful weekend.
Preparing some spice powders or masalas to use in cooking.
At the weekend electricity is cheaper than on weekdays so baking bread and cakes is more reasonable.
Making some hummus on a weekend to use during busy weekdays.
When preserving food like pickles, jams, and juices it is good to have extra time on a weekend
So this is the way I do my weekend cooking for all year's enjoyment.
Thank you very much.
