Sausage Rolls | WEEK 135
I'm glad to be around this @weekend-esperience community sharing once again the experiences we have on the weekends, I hope you are enjoying yours. Today I want to give an answer to option number 4, given to us by in this post from week 135.
Weekends in our home are often celebrations, since the family is big and there is always a birthday to celebrate, for this it is necessary to make some sweet and savory dishes, which I have to bake, whether cookies, sighs, donuts, cakes and many others.
This time I will tell you about a recipe that we liked a lot and since I prepared it we have already made it several times and as I told you we spent the weekend baking. It is a sausage rolls, which I am going to show you step by step how to make it with the help of my girls.
Ingredients
| 1/2 | Cup of liquid milk |
|---|---|
| 1/3 | cup of oil |
| 1 | tablespoon dry yeast |
| 1/2 | Tablespoon of sugar |
| 250 g | Wheat flour |
| 1 | Pinch of salt |
| 1 | Eggs |
| 4 | Sausages |
Preparation
In a bowl, pour the milk and the oil, put it over low heat, stir it for about 3 minutes or until it is lukewarm.
Now add the yeast and the sugar, mixing so that everything is well integrated.
Add half of the flour and a pinch of salt to the liquid mixture, mix and continue adding little by little the rest of the wheat flour.
Knead well until the dough comes off from the hands.
After this step you can let the dough rest for about 30 minutes, then on a floured surface roll out the dough with a rolling pin and form a rectangle.
You can place the whole sausages, I cut them in half to get more yield, I was placing them one by one horizontally, as you can see in the pictures, with the dough I was wrapping them, leaving the curved part of the sausages upwards.
Once they were all wrapped, I cut them into small pieces, this also varies according to your taste.
I beat the yolk of an egg with a pinch of sugar and my princess Ambar glazed each one of the sausage rolls.
Then they went into the oven for 30 minutes, meanwhile my girls were anxious to try how these sandwiches turned out, which by the way, we made for Ambar's birthday, since then we have prepared them 3 more times, we really liked how they turned out.
The consistency between the bread and the sausages was an excellent combination, plus it is a nice and tasty snack to share with our family and friends during the weekend celebrations.
I hope you have met the challenge, that you like what I share with you and that you can prepare the recipe at home, it is easy to make and what I like the most is economical, since for these parties we have to make a variety of snacks and well, whatever is more economical helps us a lot.
Thank you very much for reading, God bless you.
