Hello, my beautiful people of Hive! I hope you all are doing great and that you have received this Christmas with a lot of peace in your hearts.
I tell you that in past Christmases, I remember with pleasure, that I used to go to my mom's house and help her to assemble the Christmas tree and clean the house. Also, I helped her, along with some of my sisters, in the preparation of the hallacas and we did it to the sound of the gaitas or parrandas and we sang at the top of our lungs. Hehe!
The whole family would get together to have dinner, toast and wait for 12 o'clock midnight to open the presents. Here, I have to mention my beloved nieces and
.
But, 5 years ago my Christmas is completely different since I had to come to live in Chile, given that I decided to start a business in this country making cakes and desserts which means that for this holiday season is when I have more work and orders. Although, this year there were not as many orders as in previous years because every day there are more people making cakes which translates into greater competition in this area. Even so, many of my clients ordered cookies, cupcakes and cakes for their Christmas Eve dinner. I was very happy and grateful for their loyalty.
In this sense, I prepared with much affection for my clients a small detail, as a sign of my gratitude for having trusted in my work during this year 2022 and for choosing me to celebrate their most special moments with family and friends.
On December 24th, I finished all the orders at 6:00 pm and the last delivery was made at 8:30 pm. I must confess that I ended up exhausted, but with a heart full of joy because I enjoyed every process, imagining the happy faces of my clients when they tasted my products at their Christmas dinner. To tell the truth, that made me very excited and gave me a lot of energy to continue working.
On the other hand, since we have been in Chile, it is a tradition that my husband makes the Ham Bread. Fernando wanted to make his own version of Ham Bread taking the best of recipes from chefs like Sumito Estevez, Esbieta and Andrés de Oliveira. Here is the instagram of these great chefs: @lasrecetasdesumito,

.
Maybe next year we will bring you the recipe for this delicious Ham Bread version 3.0. hahaha!
For my part, a few days before starting to work with the orders, I was busy making Ponche Crema, a typical Venezuelan drink at Christmas time, which I made with a pastry cream base and I must admit that it was very tasty.
This was another Christmas where I had to work very hard and as I told you before, I ended up exhausted, but happy. However, that didn't stop my husband and I from having an interesting evening having dinner with a delicious hallacas made by and toasting to all the good and bad experiences that have helped us to be better people.
On December 25th, we stayed at home resting, passing the hangover, eating reheated food, as is customary at Christmas, and watching a series that I loved titled "The Periphery" If you are like me who likes futuristic themes then I recommend you to watch it.
My dear Hivers, I bid you farewell wishing that you have shared this Christmas with people truly precious to you and that you have created beautiful and meaningful memories that bring a beautiful smile to your face when you recall them.
Thanks for being there and for reading me.
Your friend, Zuuu!
