I just finished a 9.801km running that lasted about 0hh:55mm:28ss !
I tend to start the day by looking at my phone to see what has been going on overnight. Not the best of habits, but I expect a lot of people do it. I noticed I got a load of votes on my last Hive post, but the rewards had gone down. I found out that a certain big troll decided to give me a big downvote. I have flagged him before, but not in a while. I guess he still bears a grudge, but I will not bother to retaliate as his posts get wiped out anyway. He does not care about the community, so maybe he will just leave.
I did not let this get me down as the good people outweigh the bad. I had a run to think about and I was planning to do six minute intervals (3 lots). I varied the route a bit by going over the Stotfold. That does involve running on the road for a while where there is no pavement, but it is not busy there. The first sprint was a little slow, but the second was good. Previously I would be happy to get under five minutes, but recently I have been getting under 4:50 and that seems a good pace to aim for. The third was not as quick, but I feel my legs are still tired from Sunday's run.
It was a longer run back than I anticipated, but I took it fairly gently. I had been expecting to do about 8km, but it was about 10 in the end. Mind you, I did divert a bit past the allotments to get away from the road and take the longer way home.
I feel I have seen distinct improvements in my running in recent months. If I could crack the 25 minute 5k I will be happy, but given some performances lately I ought to do that with time to spare. It would just be great to have a parkrun where there are others to push me on as doing it alone is harder.
It is due to be hot again this weekend. I want to do another half marathon, but may have to get up extra early to avoid the heat.
Run free and stay well.
