Started with Hello my fellow Pedestrian Hive's !!!
Today i want to share with you is one of my favorite meal as an Indonesian man... This food called Arsik its originated from Sumatra, Indonesia. The reason why I like the food is because of its richnes of the spices, not going to lie right after the food ready i took my camera to make it for you guys.
well this is when i prepare the food for the photoshoot
*Ok I know it was inapropriate to put the food on the floor but I was trying to envision how the photoshoot going to look, even thoUGH at the same time i cant hold the hunger..
Anyway these are the thing you have to get to make it
Main inggredients :
- 2/3 large carp
- +/-2 cm of crushed galangal
- 10 of crushed lemongrass \
- 3 bay leaves
- 200 grams of chives onion
- 10 long beans, cut into 5 cm (depends how you want it)
- 2 tsp salt
- 300 ml of water
Ground Spices :
- 2 red onions
- 7 cloves of garlic
- 6 red chilies
- 10 roasted candlenuts
- 5 cm turmeric
- 3 cm ginger
Step to cook :
- The first step, clean the goldfish. Take the inside of the fish and clean the scales. Then arrange the fish on the pan.
- Put the ground spices and mix the galangal, long beans, chive onions, bay leaves, and lemongrass into the clean fish belly. Then also put the remaining spices and ingredients on top of the fish.
- Pour the water slow and measured into the pot and cook the fish over low-medium heat.
- Cook until the fish is completely cooked. This is a sign that the water has shrunk and the seasoning has thickened. If it is cooked, the carp arsik is ready to be served. Can be eaten with warm white rice
and voila the magic happen..

Well.. ofcourse it is depends on your food preference, but i think Indonesia has the most Foodie Spirit in terms of recipe and food choices, so... give it a try and good luck
be safe and healthy my fellow Pedestrian !!!
