Welcome to week no. 14, sect of die‑hard sweaty ones!
🤔 Do you like Brotherhood of the sweat‑soaked better?
I hope you’ve gathered enough strength to hit the pedals hard from now on, because we’ve got to lead by example. 😁
At the close of last week — that is, while I’m writing this summary post with fresh ideas for our upcoming chats — I consulted the five elements to revive ’s idea of putting everyone who uses the #strava2hive service into a table; stats that throw up some interesting data for all of us, bearing in mind that (expert insights) the scale should look something like this:
• Beginners: 2–3 sessions per week, 45–60 minutes each.
👉 Just enough for your legs to say “hello, we’re here” without demanding a holiday.
• Intermediates: 3–4 sessions per week, 60–90 minutes.
👉 You’re starting to feel like a real cyclist, with the right to show off your calves.
• Advanced: 4–5 sessions per week, including long rides (90+ minutes) and intensity sessions.
👉 Now we’re talking pedal heroes, capable of sweating so much they could fill a community pool.
In short: pedal enough to stay fit, but not so much that your bike starts asking for a union. 🤣
We can discuss this during the week, if you fancy. I think each of our views on the matter could be very interesting. This modern world, full of responsibilities that swallow us whole and so on, and so on… well then, how do you handle it? Are you more the type to use the bike for commuting? Do you alternate? Do you have free time where the bike is your best option? Tell us!
There’s also the fact that many of those in this data table aren’t exactly inactive — they walk and run. Throughout the week, they share their outings in other communities.
#strava2hive - Ride & Shine ✨😅
However, as central themes for this week’s Chit Chat, I thought our colleague
’s suggestion in the post he usually uses to open the week around here was an excellent idea:
Share with us how you like to prepare for a (long) ride, do you have certain rituals or items you always take with you? And how does your cycling closet look like if you have a special place for your cycling gear.
Take note, there are two topics in there. 😁
Well then, without further ado… Here are the week’s highlighted contributions, just in case you missed them, or if you’d like to drop by and greet our athletes and cycling enthusiasts.
🤓
And for next week, I’m going to take some time to gather all the questions we’ve asked each week… who knows, maybe those who usually participate telepathically will be inspired and give the storyline a sudden twist. 😆

Many thanks to everyone. It’s true that our Community is getting livelier every day. How lovely it is when we see lots of comments and replies in the posts! Real support that encourages us to keep going, doesn’t it? On our blockchain, we can feel the impact of the negativity in the financial markets due to the global situation, but we’re here to accompany one another, to support each other, to spread good vibes — and cyclists, in my view, have mastered that art. That spirit of camaraderie is carried in the blood, even by the loneliest sweaty. 😂
I know you may have forgotten the questions with all this chatter I’ve given you, so once again:
Share with us how you like to prepare for a (long) ride, do you have certain rituals or items you always take with you? And how does your cycling closet look like if you have a special place for your cycling gear.

Remember to use the hashtag #SundayChitChat, and feel free to invite a friend to join in. That will help us connect with more people.
Catch you soon!
