Welcome to the Creative Coin Fund Investor Report.
In this report, we suggest two methods for community collaboration to raise the price of Creative Coin; see the Market Updates and WIT Clarification subsections after the delegation report for details.
This week, six new investors joined our team, and 22 increased the size of their delegation. Our total delegations now stand at 1,659,177 CCC from 118 delegators.
Two of the new investors, and
, started out with an investment over the 10,000 delegation threshold and immediately began receiving our new payout trifecta: CCC and WIT for their
delegation, and a second CCC payout for their staked WIT.
You can read about our new payout structure in the Investor Report announcing the change, as well as in our WIT clarification this week, which follows the delegation report.
Here's our current list of delegators and the payout they received this week. Names in bold indicate a new investor, while names in italics indicate an increase in delegation.
Thank you all!
If you haven't delegated to us, and would like to, please review our delegation announcement post. The APR for CCC delegations to is variable (based on the average monthly price of CCC): the rate for January is 28 percent.
Market Updates
The purpose of the Creative Coin Fund is to provide the artists of Hive with a substantial CCC upvote, and to make that vote meaningful by supporting the steadily rising price of Creative Coin.
We're supporting the price of CCC with three mechanisms:
The daily market purchase is a market order for CCC of 10 to 15 Hive daily.
- Through January 27: minimum 10 Hive
The base buy-in order is a limit order meant to establish the price support for the market. The buy-in order is updated weekly on Thursdays.
- Current Price: .002850
- Order Size: 107 Hive for 37,844 CCC
The daily limit order is a buy set daily at a price above the base buy-in order.
- Current Price: .002851
- Order Size: 5.77 Hive for 2,026 CCC
Our biweekly fiat contribution on January 13 provided 380 Hive for our market mechanisms, which we've budgeted as follows:
- 170 Hive for the buy-in order; 42.5 weekly through February 3.
- 140 Hive for the daily market purchase; 10 daily through January 27.
- 70 Hive for the daily limit order or market purchase.
The 70 Hive for the daily limit order is 'extra' that we've set aside both to place an order for 5,000 CCC at the top of the market each day and to occasionally increase our daily market purchase. When that is used up we'll revert back to funding the daily limit order with our H-E drips and earnings, as we normally do.
We were able to follow the trend line published in last week's report and raise our buy-in price to .002850 on Thursday. The initial order was for 64,000 CCC; as you can see it is now partially filled.
We will evaluate the market on Thursday to determine where to set our updated buy-in order. Our objective is always threefold: (1) raise our price; (2) increase the order size; and (3) set an order that is likely to stand as a support through the week. We only lower our buy-in price if the order fills before Thursday, in which case we move downward with the market.
With the buy-in market mechanism, delegators, the community at large, and the Creative Coin Fund can work together to produce a steadily rising Creative Coin price. We simply have to agree not to sell CCC at the published buy-in price ... and the Creative Coin Fund will raise that price every week!
To facilitate this kind of community collaboration, we are going to begin posting our new buy-in price on Thursdays when we set it, using D.Buzz. All you'll need to do to find our latest buy-in price is check the profile; it will be published in the latest Investor Report on Mondays and with a D.Buzz as soon as we set a new price on Thursdays.
This kind of collaborative effort on price (we think) has always been implied in the publication of our market mechanisms and overall market strategy. We are suggesting it explicitly now because there are enough people aware of the Fund and reading our reports that we might be able to effectively implement such a collective strategy.
Let's see, shall we?
WIT Clarification
The WIT airdrop and new delegation payouts are clearly very popular (as they should be!). This has been and continues to be one of the more successful Creative Coin Fund projects, or at least it has made the biggest splash in the community.
There seems to be some misunderstanding about how the new payouts work though.
The second CCC payout made for staked WIT is not merely a double delegation payout, but an independently calculated payment for staked WIT. This calculation uses the same APR as our delegation payouts, but it is based on the amount of WIT you have staked, not your delegation.
So, if you have 10,000 CCC delegated to the Fund, and 100,000 staked WIT, here is what your weekly payout would be:
- 10,000 CCC delegation payout (28% APR) - 53.847 CCC and 53.847 WIT
- 100,000 staked WIT payout (28% APR) - 538.462 CCC
Remember, you must delegate at least 10,000 CCC to the Creative Coin Fund to be eligible for the triple payout outlined above. Once you have crossed that threshold though, staked WIT becomes as valuable an investment token as delegated CCC.
WIT is selling on the market at a pittance right now, given its true value, and this presents an excellent opportunity for the Creative Coin investor. Not only will you be able to substantially increase your CCC earnings by staking WIT, but you will also support the price of Creative Coin by purchasing it.
The Creative Coin Fund is a major WIT curator, with over 450,000 staked. We intend to sell our WIT curation earnings to fund our CCC market mechanisms, so, purchasing WIT is another way that the community can collaborate to raise the price of Creative Coin, because it will provide the Fund with Hive to raise the buy-in order each week, chip away at the sell wall daily, and set a new limit order on top the market daily.
Being able to sell WIT at a price closer to its true value will help the Fund remain solvent and continue to make those juicy new delegation payouts too!
Thank You
