Dragon Fruit Balls with Sticky Rice
Now this preparation is very easy, you can make it quickly, the preparation process is indeed long when steaming sticky rice. The steaming process will take less time if you soak the sticky rice longer. Usually I soak sticky rice for about 4 hours. You can do it with the instructions below that I did!.
Required Ingredients
300 ml coconut milk
100 ml water
1 pandan leaf
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 fruit dragon fruit
Cooking Instructionsg
After removing the sticky rice from the soak for 4 hours, I wash it again and then put it in a cooking pan, add water and salt, then add coconut milk.
Add pandan leaves and cook until thickened and half cooked, make sure the coconut milk shrinks.
Then steam until cooked, make sure to stir occasionally so that the sticky rice is cooked evenly.
Prepare the dragon fruit, then split it into two halves, then pry the dragon fruit with a round spoon. Pry off all the halves, the remaining halves you can put in a fla if you like. Because I wanted the fla to stay white I didn't put it in. Then set aside the dragon fruit that has been shaped.
Then add coconut milk in a saucepan then add sugar and salt.
Add cornstarch and cook until it thickens to your desired consistency.
Presentation Suggestion
Serve by arranging the dragon fruit on a serving plate and also put the sticky rice in a manual mold in the form of a bowl. Then after everything is appropriate I poured it with coconut milk fla, I deliberately did not make the coconut milk fla too thick because it would be more delicious with fla that was not over thick. Now on top of it, put a few pieces of pandan leaves for beautiful and elegant results.
The combination of all this is so good, the soft sticky rice is cooked just right, plus the fla is so creamy I love the fla so much it's my favorite. You will be surprised by the simple dragon fruit flavor made even more luxurious by the combination of sticky rice and fla.
