Fried Ekado From Chives And Potatoes
Ekado, which is fried with a combination of vegan ingredients, is enough to make the atmosphere at home warm today. My nephew was quite enthusiastic about this simple recipe. They said they had never tried this unique snack made from vegan ingredients before.
Actually, this was also my first time making ekado, and I noticed that there were special ingredients mixed into this snack mixture. Well, the special ingredients are ingredients that come from non-vegan sources, this is enough to make me think for a moment, what would be better to replace non-vegan ingredients in it. After looking at the potatoes, which I bought along with the chives, my thoughts focused on these two ingredients.
This ingredient is quite easy to get, but what is even more interesting is that this is the first time I have bought chive flowers like this. Well, based on information from sellers at the market, they said this was no less delicious than the chives I usually buy. Therefore, I enthusiastically bought several bunches of these chive flowers. The taste really wasn't bad, after I boiled it in warm water in a container and tasted it a little. The taste that I tasted makes me very enthusiastic about preparing this recipe to the maximum. So that my adorable nephew will eat and enjoy it with gusto later.
Below I will invite you to cook and prepare several stages of money needed in the cooking process, listen and see below!
Materials Used
500 grams of potatoes
1 bunch chive flowers
3 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon ground pepper
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon mushroom stock
Cooking Procedure
Wash then boil the potatoes until the potatoes are cooked, so during the process of boiling the potatoes I also boiled the carrots which had been cut into several pieces.
So while waiting for the potatoes and carrots to cook. Prepare the chive flowers, then cut them into small pieces, so they cook quickly during the cooking process.
After finishing chopping the chives, here I continue to finely chop the garlic, then sauté the garlic in a little oil.
Then add the chive flowers, cook until all the ingredients are wilted, make sure all the chive flowers are cooked so they don't smell unpleasant.
Now, after it boils and the potatoes start to become soft, remove the potatoes, then wait for them to cool for a while.
Then peel the potatoes and mash them until the potatoes are smooth.
After mashing the potatoes, add the carrots and mash them together with the potatoes.
Then add the sautéed chives with garlic, add ground pepper.
Then add salt and mushroom stock, then stir until evenly mixed.
Prepare the dumpling skin then take a tablespoon of potato mixture and wrap it in the shape of an ekado.
Then, so that it sticks perfectly, tie it with chive leaves, do this until everything is finished.
Finally, fry the ekado in hot oil over low heat so that it is cooked to the maximum, fry until golden brown.
Results
Potato chive ekado is ready to be served, my nephew, is very impatient with the results. They wait until the results of the manufacturing process are complete. A bit of a hassle, but quite fun making something they like. Even though this ekado is without meat or eggs, it tastes quite delicious. Moreover, the attractive packaging and final results are enough to make children like it so that they will always enjoy it happily.
The enthusiasm of the children was so high, it made me smile with satisfaction. How could this delicious snack not be a favorite in this heart's house. They always want the snacks I make. And you know they always tell me, to just make everything in their house. Usually they only see the final photo I made in the cellphone gallery but today is the best holiday moment, spending time cooking their favorite food.
So, for those of you who might like the non-vegan version of ekado, try making the vegan version of ekado once in a while like I did. Guaranteed enough to make you like it and definitely want to repeat making it several times in the future.
