You can probably make everything from chickpeas - hummus, cheese, burgers, desserts, but you can also bake them quite simply when you are lazy to cook, but want something like chips (as I always do π).
You can serve it as a snack or it can be used with other dishes, on salads and so on. π₯
You will need:
- 1 can of chickpeas (240 g.)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil (7 ml.)
- 0.5 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of dried dill
- 0.5 teaspoon of dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- you can also add some onion powder π§
Preparation:
- Wash the chickpeas and dry them well, remove their peels (after squeezing a chickpea you will see how the peel is falling out).
- Spread the chickpeas on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 200C for about 20 minutes (after 10 minutes of cooking stir the chickpeas).
- After removing the roasted chickpeas from the oven, mix them well with all the spices and oil and spread them on the baking sheet again - bake for another 10-12 minutes.
- It is best to consume the chickpeas on the same or the next day, as they may harden even more after storing them longer.
You can also experiment with the flavors and create the chickpeas that will be best for your preferences, consider these spices mixtures:
- Smoked pepper spices with spicy pepper spices πΆοΈ
- Ginger, turmeric, limeπ
- Nutritional yeast, salt π§
- Even sugar and cinnamon! πͺ
Have you tried roasted chickpeas before?
