Being vegan transcends the aspect related to food, diet. Although the best-known part of veganism is related to the gastronomic area, it is much more, since it is a philosophy of life, which permeates our entire existence, and which is present in every decision, behavior, or activity we do, both in the daily life, as well as in special moments. And although we are aware that not all members of our vegan family are 100% vegan, (which is not a problem for us, and we respect and love them all); we think it is important to know and at the same time encourage actions that imply love for our beloved planet Earth, the only house we have in the immensity of the Universe; because this is also a basic expression of veganism.
For this reason, in the Plant Power (Vegan) community we will be carrying out community activities and contests with some frequency, related to the various ways of expressing vegan love for the planet, which go beyond gastronomy.
It is important to indicate that these contests will be punctual, since we are not modifying the niche of our community, which is fundamentally gastronomic.

In this sense, today we invite you to this vegan challenge, which we have called Vegan love for the Planet: Reuse (Contest), with which we want to know the reuse habits that you practice, both inside and out your kitchens. Remember that there is what is called the 3 R RULE: REDUCE, RECYCLE, REUSE, which is one of the most important pillars for caring for the environment. Now, to clarify what reuse is, let's see some definitions of this word:
Reuse is the action that makes it possible to reuse discarded goods or products, called waste, and give them a use that is the same or different from that for which they were conceived. This process means that the more objects we reuse, the less garbage we will produce and the fewer resources we will have to spend. Wikipedia
It consists of "giving a second use to those products that are no longer useful for the task for which they were acquired or repairing them so that they can continue fulfilling their function". CNÑ
- When reusing, the material of the discarded object is not modified, but simply reused for another purpose. Therefore, it is not required to start from scratch regarding the raw material, but simply to adapt the shape of the discarded object to its new use. Valor Compartido
As you can see, reuse is very different from recycling; but if you still have doubts, you can document yourself widely in electronic sources available on the web, as well as in the links that we have shared at the end of this publication. With that said, let's look at the contest.
Vegan love for the Planet: Reuse (Contest)
We previously talked about what reuse is, and its importance as an expression of veganism. So for this challenge, we want to know the reuse habits that you have. It doesn't matter if you do them in your kitchen, anywhere in your house, at work, or in any other space where you work; we only want to know THREE (3) FORMS OF REUSE that are common for you. That is why we want you to make a post in which you tell us from your personal experience, how you do it. We do NOT want you to give us definitions, because that is not the intention, we simply want to know the following:
What are your reuse habits.
What motivated you to adopt these habits.
Since when do you practice them.
What advantages do you get with these habits.
CONDITIONS
Only one post per participant will be accepted.
Post must be published in this Plant Power (Vegan) community.
Please be original - no old content and nothing plagiarized – no AI! (The post that incurs in any of these practices will be immediately disqualified).
You must appear in at least six (6) photos that show us your reuse habits.
The post must have a minimum length of 300 words in English, (it can be a bilingual post too)
You will tell us about REUSE HABITS, as we indicated in the paragraph before this section.
