Hello plant based foodies, wherever you are in the world!
Today, Wednesday, November 1, 2023, is a day of celebration, because today is World Vegan Day. Last year, 2022, we remembered this special date with a commemorative post, in which you can find interesting data about the history and reason for this day. And today, we want to celebrate this day again.
Veganism, as a philosophy of life, is not something that should be imposed, or that is mandatory. It is not common for it to be something sudden either, but rather it is a process that requires a transition stage, which will depend on each person, their motivations, their personal circumstances, their own life history. For this reason, there are people who since childhood feel this call of conscience to assume a vegan life, there are others who, in later stages (adolescence, adulthood), decide to be vegan. Each case is unique, each individual has their own rhythm.
Perhaps one of the most visible or well-known facets of Veganism is gastronomy, but it is not the only thing, since this philosophy of life goes much further, it is linked to the love, respect and appreciation that human beings have for their environment. towards nature, animals and plants. It is related to consumer habits, the way we manage our time on the planet.
Acts as simple as feeding a street animal, providing some water and food to birds and bees, practicing energy-saving habits, consciously using water, applying the law of the Three R's, avoiding the use of products pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and cleaning products that have been tested on animals, refrain from attending shows where animals are exploited and mistreated, refuse to use animal skins, reduce or avoid the consumption of products of animal origin, all of this, take care of natural areas, etc.; all of these are activities typical of Veganism; so we invite you to review your daily routine, and you will see that you are partly vegan.
We also invite you to better inform yourself and document this philosophy of life; to do this, below, we share some links of interest, where you can find very valuable information, such as tips, recipe books, worldwide activities, news, among others:
So the Plant Power (Vegan) community joins this celebration, and throughout November 2023, we will be doing specific activities in favor of spreading the vegan philosophy. We would like to know through a comment, your opinion and suggestions regarding this event and if you already knew of its existence. We read you!
Delegations welcome!
