Today I came with another green recipe, Potato Spinach with Spring Onion, which is very tasty and delicious. This dish is low in calorie, full of fibre and have goodness of iron.
Often I used to make Spinach with potato (aloo palak). But this dish is something diffrent and has a flavour of spring onions.
This recipe is easy to make and very simple with simple ingredients. Spinach has lots of iron and vitamins. You can pack this dish in tiffin box and can have it with plain chapati or Parantha.
So lets see how to make this green recipe-
INGREDIENTS-
Potato-3
Spinach-1 cup
Spring onions-1 cup
Turmeric powder-½tbspn
Red chili powder-½tbspn
Salt- according to the taste
Garam masala-½tbspn
Cumin seeds-½tbspn
Dried Whole red chili-1
Asofeodita- ½tspn
Garam masala-½tbspn
Dry mango powder-½tspn
METHOD
1.Rinse and peel the potato. Then cut into cubes.
2.heat oil in a pan.
3.add cumin seeds.
4.add whole red chili.
5.further add potatoes.
6.add turmeric powder.
7.then salt.
8.add red chili powder. Mix it properly and cook for 5 mins.
9.then rinse spinach a couple of times in salt hot water. Make sure to clean the spinach leaves very well. Then chop the spinach leaves.
10.chop spring onions and rinse it well.
10.mix it.
11.further add spinach.
12.mix it properly.
13.then add spring Onions.
14.mix it properly. Cook for 15 mins till the potatoes are cooked and get tender.
15.then finally add garam masala and dry mango powder. Mix it. Cook for 1 min. And then off tue flame.
Now transfer the Dish in a bowl and serve it with chapati/parantha or Plain rice. It goes well with ghee roti too.
It is very delicious dish, with simple ingredients and can be made in less time.
