Today I saw a beautiful cauliflower in Market. So I thought to make a dish from cauliflower. But yesterday night, I saoked some chickpeas for my lunch. I took that cauliflower and thought to make a vegan recipe from both the chickpeas and cauliflower. Cauliflower is great in taste when they soak up all the flavour and add a great texture. And the chickpeas are great source of protein. They both goes well with Chapati/ Jeera rice or Paranthas.
So lets see what ingredients we want and how to make this Chickpeas and cauliflower Dry Curry-
INGREDIENTS
▪︎cauliflower-1 cup
▪︎chickpeas boiled-½cup
▪︎onions-1cup
▪︎tomato-½cup
▪︎grated or minced garlic-½tbspn
▪︎cumin seeds-⅓tbspn
▪︎mustard seeds- ½tbspn
▪︎asofeodita-½tspn
▪︎turmeric powder-½tbspn
▪︎Salt-according to the taste
▪︎oil-2 spoon
▪︎coriander leaves /kasuri Meethi
METHOD-
1.saok the chickpeas for overnight. Then boil and drain out the water.
2.cut the florets of the cauliflower.
3.rinse the flower and put the florets into warm salt water for 10 mins. So that if any 🐛 bugs are there they will be removed by this pocess.
4.chopped the onions.
5.Now heat oil in a pan or kadhai
6.put cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them crackle and then add slice onions.
7.Put turmeric powder.
8.saute it for 2 mins till the onions are softened.
9.now add minced or grated garlic and ginger.
10.further add boiled chickpeas and mix it properly.
11.saute it for 1 min.
12.then add chopped tomatoes.
13.add cauliflower florets.
14.Mix it prperly.
14.then add blackpepper powder and mix it.
15.further add some water to cook the curry and let florets absorb the flavours. Cover and cook 15 mins till the cauliflower are soft and tender. That means they are cooked well.
16.give it a nice mix and sprinkle some crushed kasuri Meethi or chopped coriander leaves.
17.transfer the curry in a serving bowl and have it warm with plain chapati/ parantha or Rice.
This yummy and flavourful caulifower and chickpea curry has an amazing taste.
