Hi vegan friends, today I want to make something new for me, which I myself have never tried before, namely, cabbage rolls filled with tofu, usually cabbage rolls filled with minced chicken are delicious, but I happen to have a lot of tofu at home so I just filled it with this tofu, next time we will make cabbage rolls filled with chicken, because with tofu filling it is no less delicious than with chicken filling, for tofu lovers, please join me in this post.
The ingredients that I use are very simple and easy, because I cook the vegan version so I don't use meat or anything like that, for the filling I only use carrots and tofu along with packaged ground spices, because I'm also lazy to grind it again, so I just use instant spices so it's practical heheh
Tofu stuffed cabbage rolls
This cabbage roll is a recipe I saw on the internet, the only difference is that on the internet they use minced chicken or minced meat filling, while here I only use tofu and carrots, because I want to make a vegan version.
Materials used
5 pieces of small tofu
1/2 carrot
3 tbsp flour
6 cabbage leaves
1 stalk of celery
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
Mushroom broth
Sauce ingredients
2 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp cornstarch
Manufacturing procedure
First
Boil the cabbage leaves until wilted, then remove and drain and set aside, while we make the filling first.
Second
To make the filling, mash the tofu using a spoon or fork, then grate the carrots using a carrot grater, mix the tofu, flour, carrots, celery leaves and all the ground spices, stir until evenly mixed.
Third
Then take a cabbage leaf, fill it with the tofu filling, then roll it up neatly so the filling doesn't come out.
Fourth
Heat the steamer then steam until cooked, steam for about 20 minutes.
Fifth
While we are waiting for the cabbage rolls, we prepare the sauce ingredients first, first puree the spices using a blender, cook until cooked or boiling, add the cornstarch liquid, cook again until it thickens
Sixth
After the cabbage rolls are cooked, take the sauce and pour it over them.
RESULTS
The result really whets my appetite, I immediately wanted to eat it hehe, my cooking today was so enchanting, it tasted spicy, savory and delicious, the tofu was really delicious mixed with carrots, it was really savory,
The sauce is very thick and spicy, for those who love spicy food, please try my recipe, oh yeah, the sauce I made can also be used as a dip for dim sum or other fried foods, guys.
This sauce does have a spicy taste, but when dipped in tofu-filled cabbage rolls, I don't think it's too spicy anymore, because there's quite a lot of tofu inside and it's very dense, so the spiciness is slightly reduced in my opinion, but don't try eating just the sauce, it could burn your tongue because it's so spicy, hehhe because earlier I made the sauce using only cayenne pepper, not curly red pepper, that's why it's really spicy.
