Another day, another night! More than a week ago, I joined 's blogging challenge. This was meant for herself but others are welcome to join. Her challenge has some interesting topics so I decided to join. If you wish to do the challenge please check her post, Let's Do A 30-Day Blogging Challenge!!!
For the sixth day blogging challenge, you have to state your pet peeves. I do have a lot of pet peeves (Lol) but I will just mention the major ones.
-THE "UGH" LIST-
#1 WET DOORKNOB
First on the list is a wet doorknob. I don't know why but I don't like it. Maybe I have this feeling that it's dirty when it's wet? Lol. To solve this problem, I wipe the doorknob with a toilet paper before holding it.
#2 THINGS NOT PROPERLY RETURNED
Oh how I hate it when something is used and not returned properly or in its proper place. This is why our home is very topsy turvy. Things are only in order on the first day it was organized then things return to the usual mess on the next day or two. I remember folding grocery bags and other plastic bags and neatly arranged them according to size in a box. Now, crumpled and unfolded plastic bags are sitting on top of the box. I have also things being borrowed and never returned, I'll just find them lying somewhere. Worse, they already took ownership of it. Lol!
There was even a time a classmate borrowed all of my poster paints and never returned it. He promised to replace it but 11 years have already passed and I guess he had already forgotten about it. Haha! I was so pissed off and silly for lending everything and left none for me. It was a bag full of poster paint and I felt really sad because I included the two bottles of gold and silver paint in it. One bottle of gold and silver were still new and unused. >.<
I also have to add people not closing doors after entering a room. It's alright to leave the door open if you are returning but when you leave it open and I know you won't return, then that will really irritate me.
#3 SCRAPING AND SCREECHING SOUND
This is probably one of the common pet peeves. Way back college, I could hear my mother scrape the leftover rice on the wok with a metal spatula. Every morning was a nightmare. Hahaha! Today, I cringe at the sound of fork being used to mix coffee. I don't get why my mother use a fork to mix her coffee. It's very irritating to the ears that I have to cover it when I she begins mixing her drink.
Oh, I also have to mention the sound of teeth grinding and the feeling of accidentally scraping your teeth especially with a metal spoon or fork.
#4 BEING SHOVED ASIDE WITH AN ARM
It irks me when somebody does this to me. You are standing or seating side by side and this person just swings and blocks you with an arm so he/she could have what's in front all by himself/herself. If you still can't get it, try visualizing a basketball player blocking the opponent by extending one arm on the side while dribbling the ball. It looks something like that. I've experience being shoved aside thrice and I believe these kind of people who do it unconsciously gives you a hint of who they really are. Hmm..
That's all for the sixth blogging challenge. Writing my pet peeves was a bit uncomfortable but it's okay. Hehe!
