Its a new day and the storm gets stronger. If you want you can see my previous updates here Storm Approaching - Update 1 and Storm Revving Up - Update 2. Im working myself so im unable to explore the weather outside much but I still keep on watching charts and live updates.
Wind is strong here on the coast and over 8000 households have lost electricity over the country. Theres also many reports of fallen trees and power poles. Here are some pictures from our news source.
Here is a map of known fallen trees on the roads.
Also sea level rise makses some roads on the coast to become submerged.
Due to the wind direction I think there is not going to be major floodings but things still progress and the levels will still rise a bit.
Air pressure has started rising because the center of the storm has gone further away and now even more stronger winds will come behind the system. Photo from my own weather station data. Pressure got as low as 977.5Hpa, that does not happen too often here.
The strongest wind gust has been 31.3m/s in northern Estonia, thats some great strenght. Here are the recent hour wind speeds all over Estonia.
This wind map also shows the center of the storm above Finland and the wind we get from this system.
Here is a short clip I took in the morning today showing a bit of how wind pummels the trees.
I will definitely go to the seaside again later in the evening tonight and see the wave action and how high the water level has become. I will do one more update probably around midnight. The winds will still get stronger in my part of the country( northern Estonia ). Many fallen trees and lost electricity is a strong probability.
