I got up this morning with the intention of watching some friends of ours from church on a live broadcast, but right about the time it was to start, our son called, so I opted to talk with him. He was having tranny issues and the warranty is close to being up, so he was at the shop waiting for the diagnosis. He had to hang up a short while later as the mechanic was needing to speak to him.
I wanted to hike earlier in the day today as I needed to make a couple more masks for him and his wife. It was sunny and breezy - perfect hiking weather! Unfortunately today, my right foot was a bit bothersome, and you know what happens when you favor something-another part of your body pays for it. 🙄 But......it was a otherwise gorgeous hike.
Actifit-Lamb is sporting her new sweatband that says ‘Actifit’ on it.
She says that you should have appropriate hiking gear. Sweat stings your eyes so it’s important to keep it at bay! She has to have her gear! 🤣
There is a bit of a ‘crossroads’ in our trails and near there, there is a pine tree close to a bigger cottonwood tree. There is all kinds of moss and lichen growing on this tree. Directly in front of it this spring, are two Trilliums. They are popping up everywhere on the forest floor right now, but most of those are stand alones. There are just a couple of places where they are growing in a pair. They are quite beautiful this time of year. As they get some age on them over the next few weeks, they’ll turn a bit purple. Very pretty.
I did complete the two masks I had planned to make and cut out two more to sew tomorrow.
Tomorrow, I’ve got a moderator call and then a Zoom meeting directly afterwards. My morning is booked, but then I’m hoping to get outdoors for our hike.
