My Actifit Report Card: June 17 2020

Hey everybody and thanks for stopping by!

Whew! A long and busy day at work today. I went in extra early and ended up staying a little over. 🙃

I got home and we headed out for a hike. We had not gone far when I saw a little bird on the side of the road. I didn’t think to take a picture of it unfortunately. But as I approached it, it couldn’t fly nor run. Upon closer examination, it appeared to be hurt somehow. So I had Hive account@silvertop get into my backpack and get one of Actifit-Lamb’s blankets. I caught the bird and it started squawking like I was killing it. I looked and it was trying to beak me! I wrapped it up and it quieted. We walked back into the field and found a tree where I sat the little bird down. It didn’t want to let go of the blanket but I eventually untangled it’s feet. It sat looking up at me and I told it to heal and then fly next door to our house to visit me.

We trekked up the hills, and just before entering the forest, I found a garden snake laying in the middle of a gravel drive. Just like every other animal, I couldn’t leave it to get run over, so I got a stick and picked it up to move it to safety. It was alive but I believe it wasn’t well. Again, I didn’t think to take a picture of it.

Actifit-Lamb wanted to play in the grass so I took this shot of her as she sat looking around.

I found ants moving what appears to be eggs down one of the whiskey barrels up at Towhee Ridge. They were very busy!

We came back and on the way at one of our neighbor’s houses, we stopped to drool over their lupine garden.

Dinner and a little TV and soon it will be time for bed.
