Happy Wednesday Hump day everyone!
Has it been a year already?! Where does the time go, I wonder?!
Last year on May 5th, we received a literal truck load of firewood logs. Not the little pieces you might put into your wood stove or fireplace, but essentially tree trunks!
Not just little trees…..big ones!
Acme Firewood delivered and we were a bit shocked at the size of the load. We were just hoping it all fit under the utility entrance cable! 😅
The owner untied all the tie downs and got into position for the ‘dump’!
It was done! A bit on the nerve wracking side, but very happy to have it dumped successfully. The owner was very good at lining that truck up just so in the spot we’d designated. 😎
Now-to get a close up look at all that wood!
It took him about a month to split it all coming out with 5.5 cords of some really nice firewood!
It didn’t take long to realize we wouldn’t need another load for this year, and especially since a neighbor kept offering us some seasoned deadwood of some fir trees he had. Then, you add the deadwood that fell on our property, well, let’s just say that with what we already had originally plus the dump truck load and all the deadwood, we are now are sporting 24 cords of firewood! 😳 We are definitely set for a few years! 😁
Today was my Monday and Hump Day rolled into one. It was busy and I had a lot of tasks left to me by the Monday and Tuesday gals in addition to a couple things from Friday, along with a ton of incoming jobs, plus the work for the day!😳 If we hadn’t have had 4 ‘no shows’, I’d walk into a similar situation tomorrow. However, I did get it all done! 😊
Tomorrow is a fully booked day as Lisa won’t be there Friday. I switched the doc’s days around and now he has Friday off as well. I still have to work it, but at least it’s a me, myself and I day 😎👍
