One of the perks of our company is a free gym membership upon regularization. I recently availed the Anytime Fitness 7 day free access promo.
Since the gym is just across the office, my officemate and I went there after work hours. Its my first time hitting the gym so i opted to use the simple and basic equipments as i start navigating the more complex ones. The gym also offers scheduled classes like zumba, yoga, and cycling.
When we arrived at the gym, most of the equipments were fully occupied. I wanted to try the treadmill but maybe some other time. The only equipment available during this time was their biking machine so i made used of it instead. I was told that the best time to hit the gym is in the morning since only a few people are present.
Getting in the best shape requires a lot of effort and dedication. In my case, my goal is to tone my body and gain muscles. More than just the physique, I wanted to become strong in my own body; to be able to lift my own grocery bags; and hike in the mountains better.
I used to do home workouts during pandemic but i feel like going to the gym is better because you get to workout with other people.
Although the promo was 7 days, i was only able to visit the gym once due to the demands of life. However, I promised myself that as soon as i get my monthly gym membership, I will utilize it heavily which means i have to show up 3-4 days a week in the gym and create a workout plan for the different body parts. I hope to take you guys with me in this journey soon.
