The temperature came down today as the recent rain has cooled things off. This provided the opportunity to go for a run outside. I decided to go for a 5K as I knew I did not have time for a long run. I think I would have not achieved a long run either as I struggled to get a good pace for a 5K. It surpised me as my 5K pace only weeks ago was still ok. The weight I have added is clearly impacted me so it serves as a wake up call.
At least I felt generally good for the rest of the day despite the struggles so I think I can get back in line with better pacing with some intentional programming of my cardio in the coming weeks. I also got another PT session in for my back so some progress to expect I hope. Work was a bit calm today but unsure how long that will last given my schedule. I will take it for now.
