Blink-182 Drops Heartfelt New Single: 'You Don’t Know What You’ve Got'

Blink-182, the iconic pop-punk trio, is back with a touching new single titled "You Don’t Know What You’ve Got." This heartwarming track is the sixth and final single from their upcoming album 'One More Time,' set to release on Friday, October 20. It follows the release of previously acclaimed singles like 'Edging,' 'One More Time,' 'More Than You Know,' 'Dance With Me,' and 'Fell In Love.'

The lyrics of the song delve into the personal journey of the band's vocalist and bassist, Mark Hoppus, who battled cancer in 2021. The song takes you through the emotions of "long weeks of impending doom" and the feeling of being "stuck in life's waiting room." Yet, it contrasts this dread with a poignant realization that "you don't know what you've got till it's almost gone."

Mark Hoppus was diagnosed with stage 4-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in 2021. However, six months later, he was declared cancer-free.

In other Blink-182 news, Travis Barker, the drummer, recently shared an image of his bloodied knuckles and fingers after performing with the band in Manchester. Barker has been battling severe nerve pain (trigeminal neuralgia), a COVID infection, and even undergone root canal treatment in recent weeks. Despite his health struggles, Barker remains dedicated to his music and joked with fans that he can "pretty much handle anything."

Barker recently returned to Blink-182's tour after his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, had to undergo "life-threatening emergency surgery" for their unborn child. This situation led to the cancellation of several tour dates, which have now been rescheduled for August 2024.
