Yesterday was the first time we took Rainy to the vet. Frankly, my husband and I have never been to a vet before, so this was our first experience too.
I’ve called the animal clinic and made an appointment for 3 pm. We wanted to check how old Rainy is exactly, so that it's clear when he will be vaccinated and/or sterilized. We also wanted the vet to check on Rainy's chin because there are black spots and dry skin on it.
In the morning before the appointment, we told Rainy that the three of us would go out to visit the vet in the afternoon. We also asked Rainy not to be aggressive, not to bite or scratch, and to be a good boy when the vet examined him later.
At 2:15 pm, we went to the vet. When we arrived at the clinic, we immediately went inside. I forgot to take a photo of the front view of the clinic. I only took the photo of the lobby while we were waiting for our turn.
While waiting, Rainy looked stressed. Maybe because it was a new place for him and he felt uncomfortable. We calmed him down and played with him from outside of his cargo. Finally, he was distracted and could calm down.
After awhile, Rainy was called to the vet's office. He was weighed and physically examined, from his fur, teeth, and ears to his buttocks. We took this opportunity to consult on his health.
The vet told us that Rainy was overall healthy. Rainy can be vaccinated because of his weight, which has reached more than 2 kg. So Rainy got his first vaccine right away.
Thankfully, the examination and the vaccination went well. Rainy was quite calm during the process. He only growled and struggled for a while, but didn't scratch or bite. Such a good boy. ❤️
Next month, we will go to the vet again for the second vaccine.
