You instruct the computer to head to Q-877. At this point, you just hope it is not a black hole. Anything but sitting here otherwise is better than nothing at all. The ship turned slightly and started to head off in the direction of Q-877.
The trip to that location ended up taking a couple of days. In the time you explored the parts of the ship that you could do so without wearing a space suit. There was a lot of debris and things that might be salvageable everywhere you walked. The ship had been through quite an ordeal.
The computer since you told it to head to Q-877 was attempting to recover the damaged data about what the object even was. It however so far only managed to recover the word “Hycean.” That might be good news or bad news depending on what kind of liquid makes up the moon and if there are any places to land.
Without getting much done for the day you decided to take an early rest for the evening. You were not in the mood to eat any food. The unknown was starting to shake your nerves somewhat. Trying to sleep did not help as you kept waking up thinking you were drowning on an unknown planet or moon. You could not quite tell what it was.
You woke up the next day with a rather interesting report. The computer during the night managed to reconnect with the probe. It was still intact and had been collecting data this entire time. It turns out that what you were hoping was a planet ended up being a moon. While that was not the end of the world news it looked like you would not be going down to explore it any time soon with the other information you gathered.
The moon had a way to high levels of hydrogen and other elements. It would not be breathable down on the surface. During the days it also hit over 130 degrees celsius. You would be nothing more than fried bits of bacon on that moon.
You were half tempted to instruct the computer to stop and work out what other locations to select. However, this is where the interesting data comes into play. The probe reported back that there appears to be some kind of superstructure floating around the orbit of the moon itself.
You wish you could get a video feed or photos back from the probe of what it looked like. That however failed multiple times to send. It seems that a portion of the ship antenna had suffered damage. At least you were still getting basic text data.
It took a couple more days before you were finally in range of Q-877 hycean moon. You could also see the superstructure that had to be bigger than the moon itself orbiting around it at quite a high velocity.
The colors of the structure seem alarming and familiar. You would however have to take a closer view of it before confirming your current hypothesis of what it could be. You thought however it was not possible so you did not want to dwell on that thought any longer.
You could either move closer to the moon to further inspect it with the ship or head over to the superstructure.
