Today's food that will help naturally fight inflammation is fatty fish. Fatty fish includes oily fish such as salmon, sardines, mackerel, and tuna. These types of fish are high in omega 3 fatty acids, which help reduce inflammation. Aim to eat fatty fish a couple of days each week. Try to avoid frying the fish or eating the fish heavily salted. Aim for broiling and baking the fish. Eating too many fried foods can lead to cardiovascular problems and weight gain.
If you really can't stand the taste of fish, then you can opt to take supplements. Fish oil supplements may help lower inflammation as well as taking krill oil. Taking a fish oil supplement rich in omega 3's can really help balance the omega 3 to omega 6 ratio in today's conventional diet. Many people are over consuming omega 6 fatty acids, which are found in processed foods and processed oils. This can have an inflammatory response on the body.
