Me and hubby are having a quiet weekend just the Two of us for a nice change. My daughter is staying at her boyfriends for the long weekend so me and hubby have 3 full days to ourselfs. Its the Coronation weekend, Price Charles is being crowned as King and his wife Camilla as Queen. Its been on the TV nearly all day. We have not been watching as not a royalist, think it's all a bit to much when so many people in this country are hungry. I know its History but people matter and showing the country you would rather donate the money to helping people would have been better. Me and hubby saw 5 minutes of it on the News when he was crowned, I felt awkward for them, way to much.
Hubby has spent most of the day cooking, he loves cooking especially a curry. He makes one for seperate for me as I don't like hot or spicy food. He made a Chicken for himself and a Jumbo Prawn one for me, I forgot to take a photo of my meal as was starving but luckily hubby made enough of his for 2 meals so took a photo of his extras. As you can see he has also made 2 curried eggs, In not too keen on them but him and my daughter love them.
We usually go out shopping on a Saturday this week we ordered a food delivery giving someone else the shopping trip, so much easier when it's delivered all we have to do is put it away. I am shocked at how much our shopping bill, everything has gone up so much, I used to spend £120 a week for a full shop its now over £200 each week and that's sitting down working out planned meals for the week with no waste. Its starting to get ridiculous now. Luckily hubby is working, I worried about the people who can't afford to eat. One thing we have done is not put our heating on over the Winter, instead wrapping ourselfs in throws, I'm not giving the energy companies to much of my money as they have made millions. Thankfully its nearly Summer, we can start drying our clothes outside saving a lot more not using the tumble dryer.
Its been a lovely relaxing day just me hubby and our pups, we will be doing the same tomorrow and Monday. Life is getting calmer and easier to deal with. Its been lovely just me and hubby.
