Wild Mushrooms in the Mountains

This is a Lions Mane Mushroom I found yesterday in the forest. Turned out to be very delicious. This is a great time of year to be out looking for your favorite fungi here in California. This mushroom is enough for maybe three meals. If you have never tried a Lions Mane mushroom I highly recommend. Just cook on stovetop for 5 to 8 minute and add butter. The Mushroom will soak up a lot of butter so watch out how much you use.
Mushroom gathering can be dangerous if not deadly, even scarier than the blockchain. lol Let me know what's your favorite wild mushroom. Mushrooms are going to be highly sought after here in California considering most of the forest has been burned. There will be an increase in the number of batts, they are one of the first animals to return to the charred land. Batt soup is next on the menu. :) Happy Hunting
