OCD's support is expanding!
Hello everyone! This is the 2189th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.
This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.
How this Works
OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.
This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.
Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Can we live like this? I don't know, we'll see. The good thing about all this, which seems like something out of one of those end-of-the-world films, is that we've seen it more than once. It's even boring, repeating the same thing over and over again, especially if we're the protagonists. At least that's what we think. Desperate situations call for preparation, analysis and action in the face of what is coming. So, without further ado, I will tell you what I have been doing to, as the saying goes, "cushion the blow".

A remunerated hobby is that beautiful meeting point between pleasure and utility, however it doesn't always generate wealth. It's that activity born from play, curiosity, or the simple need to create with one's hands, but which generates a small income. It's not a business, at least not in the strict sense. There's no pressure to scale, no aggressive sales goals or expansion plans that keep me up at night because fortunately no one gave me loans.

Yesterday was a true winter day again. A mix of rain and strong wind that quickly turned into wet snow blowing from all directions. Since it was Sunday, we decided to take a little drive and go into the city without any particular plan. We had breakfast at home, had a cup of Turkish coffee, and then I got another coffee with milk at the gas station where we stopped to fill up. 😍 I'm such a coffee addict, just one cup after another. One of the few guilty pleasures I allow myself. Well, better that than doing drugs, I guess… xD

Remembering that brings to mind my boyfriend Ali. I was in 10th grade and he was in 11th, around the time McDonald's started in Venezuela. He had brought me a plushie of Odie, Galfier's dog, from Caracas. He even gave me a gold solitaire ring, and all I had given him was a handwritten letter. When time passed and we saw each other again, I didn't have anything he had given me. The ring was stolen, and I had to give the plushie to a two-year-old girl. He, on the other hand, still had the letter and had even laminated it 🫣

This song shows us the other side of love, which can often become dependent and therefore painful. It was popularized by Jimmie Davis in the 1930s and has been performed by a wide variety of artists, who have done everything from children's versions to emotional ones like Christina Perri's, who took it to another emotional level. In most cases, it is sung in major keys, but its melodic structure tends to descend, evoking the sadness related to the lyrics, even though it is sung in an affectionate tone. This, among other details, allows the song to be used as a lullaby for a child, a promise to a lover, or a lament for someone lost, relating the universal human experience of love to the fear of losing a loved one. Its ability to evoke such emotion with such simple words makes it a masterpiece of popular music, a tune that lingers in the hearts of those who hear it.

It was a weekend that left me alone, as my husband was scheduled to go fishing as a hobby. As usual, I spent eight hours alone today, eating alone and even having my treatment alone. The morning after doorsmeer the car, I decided to have a sports massage to help my body function better. I exercise almost every day, that really help relaxing my body.

Plasma accounts for about 60% of a person's total blood volume. The average adult has about 5 liters of blood. Women have slightly less. Blood is valuable, and whole blood is hard to come by. Plasma, on the other hand, is not so hard to find. A plasma-buying center is opening up near you (if you live in the U.S). I just looked at Google Maps. I plugged in different communities across the country (including my own) and the bright red plasma donation symbol popped up everywhere.

Because yes, sometimes guilt weighs me down and bends my back. But it's also true that, thanks to it, I have learned to look at my loved ones with a tenderness that cannot be bought anywhere. I have learned that sharing what I love is not a sacrifice, but the most beautiful way of saying "you exist for me." And when I choose to be there, even though I know they are fine, I don't do it out of fear, but because I have discovered that my presence is also a gift that I am happy to give.

This mural is set up on Belgium Avenue in Old Havana, and at first sight I didn’t know who those characters were… but straight away you could spot a few things: they were in Havana—the Morro lighthouse is right there behind them—and they looked amazed by something…

As musicians, performing this piece is a technical and emotional challenge. Moving from the violent attacks that represent the dispute between the Capulets and the Montescos, to the infinite sweetness of the famous "love theme", requires total surrender. In the video I share with you, you can feel that tension and the majestic resolution of the orchestra. The acoustics of the Paraninfo made every note of the strings vibrate directly into the chest!
This concludes this batch's curation report. We would like to congratulate those who are featured and supported. Keep up the good work and continue to explore Hive Communities.
