Mashed potatoes but served with fried which has been previously wrapped with eggs, this is the "Perkedel Kentang" Indonesian Potato Patties, a typical Indonesian snack.
The golden brown color in this snack is not only beautiful but also tasteful. Add chili sauce to complete the taste, for those of you who like spicy flavor.
This potato-based snack has a soft and filling texture. Suitable to eat on the sidelines before the main meal.
We will share the recipe "Perkedel Kentang" for you as well as some photography results.
Ingredients Making "Perkedel Kentang"
- 300 grams of potatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 celery sticks (finely chopped)
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- Oil for frying to taste
Blended Spices
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 red onions
Cooking Instructions
- Boil the potatoes until cooked.
- Mash boiled potatoes.
- Add salt, pepper, spices (garlic, and red onions), and finely chopped celery.
- Mix well until it can really be shaped like a patty.
- Then shaped the potato mixture like a round but flat patty.
- Heat the oil.
- Dip the potato patty in beaten egg yolks, then fry.
- Fried patty until cooked golden brown.
- Raise and serve.
