Hi guys, I've been away the whole day and will be off to Hakone early in the morning tomorrow. Nonetheless, I have a few random photos of Tokyo to share here.
I was at Akihabara yesterday night and went to some of the otaku areas, with all kinds of products for sale, including FFXV, One Piece, Persona 5 and basically every manga and anime you can think of (including the Hentai type).
As the weather was pretty cold I went to AKB48 cafe, which is based on a popular Japanese girl group, AKB48. We couldn't take photos inside, except those that didnt involve other people and the screen.
I got this coaster for ordering a food/drink.
Any AKB48 fans?
Shinjuku station is crazy crowded and it doesn't end!
Huge malls around the station.
It was kinda misty at the top of the buildings. Looked pretty good to me.
Takashimaya is a freaking huge mall with 14 floors. Not very wide but very high.
Not sure what building this is but there's a huge clock at the top.
Basically Takashimaya is a huge department store by itself and a cheaper alternative is in the same building, up to 8 floors. It's called Tokyu Hands. There were so many awesome cute Japanese stuff! Didn't take much photos because it felt awkward.
The restaurants at Takashimaya are all pretty crowded and you had to queue almost everywhere. This one was their awesome beef with rice and other stuff.
Really good burger with a very tender patty.
Thanks for reading. I'll start voting on some of the #dailyfoodphotography entries..
